Updated: Aug 16, 2020

In episode 7 of Raw Talent, I am talking with Central Saint Martins School of Art graduate Clemency Buddenhagen who has enjoyed an illustrious career as a fashion designer working with iconic luxury brands including Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Joseph and Karl Lagerfeld. https://www.fashionheaveninc.com/podcast/episode/47ed7739/clemency-buddenhagen-from-st-martins-to-giorgio-armani-and-karl-lagerfeld

What sets Clemency apart is her attitude, flexibility and commitment. Clemency has an exceptional eye for creativity and commerciality alongside a terrific work ethic. She brings a super grounded laser focus to all that she does and an impressive never give up attitude.

Upon graduating from Central Saint Martins, she headed to Milan to intern with Giorgio Armani and ended up staying for 6 years, being tutored by one of the great masters of luxury fashion. Approached by Calvin Klein, her career took a new turn as she flew to New York and immersed herself in the art of minimalism before heading back to Europe and British heritage brand Burberry, where she worked with an inspirational team on the rebranding of Thomas Burberry.

6 years later, Clemency succeeded Joseph Ettedgui at Joseph, where she was responsible for the entire global image of the brand, including womenswear, menswear and accessories. Then in 2009, she launched her eponymous label Clemency London, just as the global financial crash swept the world. 10 years later having had the opportunity to work under the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, in 2019 she reawakened the brand with the launch of Clemency London Fine Jewellery and will soon be heading to the West Coast for the next chapter in a career that is rich with iconic experiences.
